About Us

Levantine Dress is a small, family-run shop for traditional Palestinian and Levantine embroidery fashion: hand-stitched thoubs, bridal gowns, jackets and accessories, chosen with care and shipped from London, Ontario to customers across Canada and the United States.

Our story

I am a Palestinian woman. I was born in Saudi Arabia, and I have lived in Canada with my family since 2017. Growing up, the embroidered thoub was never just a dress in our home. It was what my mother and grandmother wore to weddings and Eid, and every pattern on it had a name and a village it came from.

When we settled in Canada, I kept looking for those dresses and could not find them, or found them at prices and quality that did not feel right. Friends asked me where I got mine. That is how Levantine Dress began: as a way to bring the pieces we grew up with to the women here who miss them, and to anyone who falls in love with the craft.

What we sell

Every piece carries the cross-stitch (tatreez) motifs of the Levant, from the classic black and red of Palestine to the softer tones of modern designs. We work with trusted makers and check each item for the quality of its stitching, fabric and finish before it reaches you. Many designs come in small batches, so sizes and colours can sell out.
